clemens-1230081Roger Clemens is already a household name when it comes to baseball. For more than two decades, Clemens has been working furiously in the mound to become one of the most recognized pitchers in history.

His numerous CY Young awards (the most on any pitcher) and his impressive numbers has garnered him more awards than even professional baseball players could even dream of.

Of course, along with the awards came fame and money which has afforded him to buy anything he wants. Roger Clemens is undoubtedly one of the best baseball players in history.

But his reputation is currently on the line. Many of his former colleagues are saying that he has taken anabolic steroids and HGH (human growth hormone).

Steroids and HGH are substances that are strictly banned by most sports associations including the Olympics.

These are considered performance enhancing drugs which will artificially improve the power of the user even if they are already advanced in age.

The claims of the person that charged him states that he started using these products as early as in late 1980s.

Take note that although these products are already banned since the 70s, testing HGH and Steroids didn’t really improve until the year 2000.

Urine used to be the sole bases of testing for HGH and Steroids but they can often be tricked. But with the advancement of medical technology, blood testing has been easier and faster in detecting HGH, Steroids and other performance enhancing drugs.

Because of the development of medical technology, many athletes have been tested positive. Although Roger Clemens was not positively tested with these drugs, claims from different people are too overwhelming to ignore.

Even the FBI and Congress have conducted investigations regarding Roger Clemens’ use of HGH and Steroids.

But even with the brouhaha on HGH and Steroids, these are still safe to use and even recommended by doctors for some patients who they see fit to use.

Steroids or more specifically anabolic steroids are sometimes issued to patients who need to improve their eating or even to induce adolescence to young men.

HGH has almost the same effect but has been mainstream for sometime now. The body actually secretes HGH and the products used to enhance the secretion of growth hormone through pituitary glands.

If Roger Clemens did use HGH, Anabolic Steroids and related products, his records will still hold but will be highly questionable.

If the charges to him were true, his records since 1990 could be highly questioned. He’ll probably be the next Barry Bonds wherein the records could have an asterisk (*) since most of the things that he did were made with help of substances.

But as a consumer, will these products help you? Definitely. HGH is known to help individuals revitalize their body.

With proper diet and exercise, they will significantly improve their health. With proper use and doctor’s recommendation, HGH will really help those who need them.

But athletes like Roger Clemens should never use them. Excellence in sports is all about using their natural ability and HGH is not one of them. Besides, they are already healthy and there is no way they will need HGH.
